A design copy is yours to keep, with or without a project installation. Learn more about our garden and design services. We provide services in the Denver Metro area.
-
Know your budget. Project costs are determined by square footage and materials used. Installing a garden is similar to remodeling a room in your house or giving it a facelift. Depending on the size of the space and the scope of work involved, costs can vary. Consider your garden an outdoor room remodel. Decide what is most important to you, knowing you have options.
If necessary, we recommend breaking down your project into phases, allowing you to accommodate your budget. Your new landscape is an investment. It will ultimately save you time and resources while increasing your property value.
-
Full design and installation projects, including DIY designs, require a minimum garden area of 1,000 square feet. It’s important to note that our designs take into account square footage, as well as the level of detail, expertise, and time involved in creating something unique to your space. We believe in delivering high-quality, custom garden designs that meet your specific visions.
We do not install perennial or annual flower planters.
-
Split your yard or garden beds into simple shapes like rectangles, squares, and triangles.
For rectangles or squares, measure the longest side (length) and the adjacent side (width) in feet.
Rectangle/Square: Multiply length × width.
Triangle: Multiply the base × height, then divide by 2.
Circle: Multiply \(3.14\) (pi) by the radius squared (radius × radius from the center to the edge).
There are various tutorials on YouTube demonstrating how to calculate landscape square footage.
-
No. Design and installation projects are scheduled on different timelines. Rushing for “perfect” timing often means missing the best window to start your project.
The earlier you begin planning and the more flexible you are, the more options you have, from refining your design and coordinating installation to securing plant availability.
We’re unable to design and install new gardens once the busy spring and summer season is underway. The ideal time to begin a design project is during late summer, fall, or winter, allowing adequate time for thoughtful planning, designing, and scheduling.
We’re unable to meet last minute requests or unrealistic expectations.
-
We aim for 2 to 3 months, but design timelines are determined by the project scope, current client funnel, and other unknowns. Creating a design for a new landscape or garden can sometimes be a lengthy process requiring patience and commitment.
As small niche business, we adhere to quality over quantity. We focus on creating bespoke, one-of-a-kind gardens and limit the number of designs we take on each season, ensuring each project receives the attention it deserves. We can’t accommodate unrealistic timeline expectations. It’s best to contact us in late summer, fall, or winter if your looking for a spring/summer project installation.

We can consult and partner with you about building and caring for your garden. We can create designs, plant lists, and mood boards along with plant sourcing. Please note, we can only source plants for you in bulk not on an as needed basis.
We are here to teach you how to implement regenerative practices, such as sheet mulching, composting, enhancing soil health, and native garden management. We customize consultations to meet your needs within the scope of our offerings. Check pricing for our consulting fee.
DIY designs or garden planting placement and layouts must meet a 1,000 square foot minimum requirement.

While we don’t provide conventional landscape maintenance services, we do provide a specialized Garden Stewardship program. We want to help you properly manage your regenerative garden investment. Our exclusive garden management program is offered seasonally (May - October) - spring, early summer, late summer, and fall. If you are interested in garden maintenance services, contact us.

As regenerative garden designers, we design living landscapes and plants are our specialty. Landscape architects are perfect for projects requiring complex sight enhancements or changes, large hardscaping or structural additions, and detailed engineering or regrading plans, requiring a licensed landscape architect.
-
We can design pathways, rain gardens, and incorporate raised vegetable beds. We are happy to work alongside your hardscaping landscaper with larger projects. We don’t design or install water features, fire pits, concrete sidewalks or patios, driveways, pergolas, play sets, trellises, decks, or crevice gardens. We do have a trusted hardscaping professional we work closely with on some of these additions.
We never include artificial turf in any of our projects.
-
We specialize in native naturalistic gardens and building biodiversity. We can design pollinator gardens, incorporating them into your vegetable gardens. Native pollinator gardens invite beneficial bees, birds, and butterflies into your space, making them a great addition to edible garden success. We can also connect you with trusted, local permaculture and kitchen garden specialists.

This depends on what your HOA allows. In the past, most neighborhood associations have held strict regulations with no allowance for complete front lawn removal. We are beginning to see a shift in our Colorado neighborhoods.
On May 17, 2023, Governor Polis signed the Water-wise Landscpaping in Homeowners’ Association Communities bill (HB23-178) into law. This bill provides HOAs with clear guidelines and rules to follow and “may not prohibit the use of xeriscape, nonvegetative turf grass, or drought-tolerant vegetative landscapes to provide ground covering to property for which a unit owner is responsible”. See our resources for more information.

We are selective about who we choose to work with. Before we move forward on a consultation, design, or DIY project, we may ask for further conversation to make certain we are a good fit for one another. Our goal is to ensure an open working relationship built on mutual respect and trust.
We need to know you understand our service offerings, have realistic requests and expectations, and value our small business. Fostering long-term client relationships is at the heart of everything we do.
